Pavilion Entertainment a new media company incorporated in Trinidad and Tobago. It is dedicated to the original production of media projects and the regional distribution of both original and franchise programming.

Job Description

The Assistant Location Manager’s work is logistical, providing back up to the Location Manager. The role will not include any negotiations about money or contracts. Primary job duties and responsibilities will be to:

• Assist with scouting for additional locations, including researching locations, making appointments to visit, meeting the owners, residents or caretakers, and taking photographs

• Draw up parking plans for the entire shoot, as well as arrange crane and scaffolding permits and temporary traffic restriction orders, and submit them to local Councils for costing 

• Write, copy and distribute letters informing local residents of any filming scheduled to take place in their neighbourhood 

• Personally record all relevant directions and landmarks, making decisions about how much detail to include or omit

• Ensure Movement Orders (directions to locations that are distributed daily with call sheets) are accurate and easy to follow

• Discuss the daily requirements for parking and traffic control with local councils and police forces, noting any special dates (e.g., football matches, public holidays) that may disrupt the shooting schedule

• Organise recces for all relevant Heads of Department 

• Ensure that the property is not damaged during the shoot and pre- and post-production

Qualifications

Qualifications and competencies include:

• At least 4 years’ production experience

• Strong and accurate sense of direction

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent organisational skills

• Some familiarity with local authority processes for permits

• Full driving licence

• Good knowledge of relevant health and safety laws and procedures
