About the Department

As part of Henry Ford Health's Community Care Services, the Pharmacy Care Management Department plays a vital role in expanding access to essential health resources. Our team is dedicated to connecting individuals with pharmacy benefits, care coordination, and support services, ensuring that diverse populations receive the care they need. We focus on community-based programs that meet patients where they are, making a meaningful impact on their health and well-being.

Role Overview

As a Coor- Pharmacy Benefits, you will facilitate the operations of the Pharmacy Care Management Department by organizing, improving, and implementing pharmacy benefit management policies and procedures. You will support the Manager of Pharmacy Benefits and delegated pharmacists in overseeing critical areas such as claims processing, benefit design development, prior authorization processes, and vendor/customer relationship management.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee the claims processing system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new pharmacy benefit designs and programs.
  • Organize and manage the prior authorization process.
  • Maintain and strengthen vendor and customer relationships.
  • Improve pharmacy benefit management policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • One year of pharmacy benefit management experience or the equivalent.
  • Two years of pharmacy technician experience or the equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or higher.
