Mammography Tech - Henry Ford Health
Schedule: Full-Time, Days. This position is primarily to perform mammography at the Lakeside location. The tech will also be required to perform general x-rays at times as well. This position will require working one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month at our Sterling Heights location.

Role Overview
As a Mammography Tech, you will perform radiologic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, aiding in the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by physicians. Your expertise ensures accurate imaging, proper patient positioning, and adherence to safety protocols, directly impacting patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

What You Will Do
- Perform radiologic breast imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and patient positioning.
- Ensure adherence to department protocols and safety practices.
- Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and other regulatory requirements.
- Complete required hours of continued medical education to stay current in the field.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible). If registry eligible, must obtain registry within 12 months of hire.
- Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria and other regulatory agency requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in mammography or breast imaging.
- Familiarity with Henry Ford Health systems and protocols.
