Role Overview
As a Mammography Tech, you play a vital role in performing screening and diagnostic mammograms under the direction of a Radiologist. Your work directly supports physicians in evaluating pathological entities, ensuring accurate diagnostics and patient care. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of safety and quality in medical imaging.

What You Will Do
- Perform radiologic breast imaging procedures as ordered by a physician.
- Utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning.
- Ensure adherence to department protocols and safety practices.
- Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and other regulatory requirements using tools built withing Epic to ensure proper follow up.
- Complete required hours of continued medical education to stay current in the field.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible). If registry eligible, must obtain registry within 12 months of hire.
- Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria and other regulatory agency requirements.
