Role Overview

As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your contributions will directly support the RN in delivering exceptional patient care, responding to emergent situations, and fostering a healing environment. This role is essential to our mission of providing patient-centered care and making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

What You Will Do

  • Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
  • Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
  • Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
  • Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNA certification preferred.
