We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team in Grosse Pointe Woods. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to cancer patients and members of the community, helping them achieve relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. This Monday through Friday position offers consistent daytime hours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekends required. GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage based on client needs and preferences
• Conduct thorough client consultations to understand health history, current conditions, and wellness goals
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment notes and progress tracking
• Create a welcoming and relaxing environment that promotes client comfort and trust
• Ensure all equipment, linens, and treatment areas are clean, sanitized, and properly maintained according to health and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with clients about treatment options, expected outcomes, and any contraindications
• Adapt massage techniques based on client feedback and individual health considerations
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain punctuality to ensure smooth client flow
• Stay current with industry best practices and continue professional development in massage therapy
• Uphold professional boundaries and maintain client confidentiality at all times

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional massage therapy experience

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Completion of an accredited massage therapy program
• License/Certifications Required
• Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by the State of Michigan
• CPR certification (preferred)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen actively to client needs
• Physical stamina and ability to perform massage services for extended periods
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation
• Proficiency in time management and organizational skills
• Experience with massage therapy software or client management systems (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wellness team
• Professional demeanor with a genuine commitment to client well-being and satisfaction
