Role Overview

As a Lead-Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by preparing patients for examinations and managing clerical tasks essential to clinic operations. Under the guidance of the Office Supervisor/Manager, you will ensure the smooth functioning of the clinic, stepping into roles such as receptionist, medical assistant, or lab assistant as needed.

What You Will Do

• Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures.
• Perform clerical duties to support clinic activities.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
• Support the Office Supervisor/Manager in ensuring efficient clinic operations.
• Step into various roles such as receptionist, medical assistant, or lab assistant as assigned.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant Program, or a formal medical assistant program with a minimum of five years continuous work experience as a Medical Assistant with verifiable clinical experience.
• Completion of a clinical externship.
• Three (3) years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.
• Current BLS-C certificate.
• One of the following certifications: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), or NCMA (NCCT).
