Part Time Days

24 hours per week / 7am-7:30pm

Role Overview

As a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech, you will play a critical role in monitoring and identifying normal and abnormal electrocardiogram (EKG) rhythms using telemetry monitoring equipment. You will support patient care by notifying appropriate personnel in emergencies and maintaining cardiac monitoring equipment for all admitted, discharged, or transferred patients. Your expertise ensures the safety and well-being of our patients in stressful or emergent situations.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor and identify normal and abnormal EKG rhythms using telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Notify appropriate personnel in case of emergency.
  • Maintain cardiac monitoring equipment for all patients who are admitted, discharged, or transferred.
  • Operate telemetry central station monitoring equipment with knowledge of its capability features.
  • Troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an arrhythmia course, including written and verbal testing, during the introductory period.
  • Demonstrated competency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous health care experience as an EKG Technician, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, or education in cardiac monitoring.
