Job Title: Emergency Room Technical Assistant

Full Time Midnights

36 hours per week / 7pm-7:30am

Role Overview: As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with patient care based on individual needs, working under the direct supervision of registered nurses or providers. Your contributions ensure the smooth operation of the Emergency Department, supporting both patients and healthcare professionals in delivering timely and effective care.

What You Will Do: - Assist with patient care based on individual needs under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. - Support the Emergency Department team in ensuring timely and effective patient care. - Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional healthcare services. - Complete a 180-day orientation period successfully to integrate into the team and role responsibilities. - Work within the scope of practice to provide technical assistance in emergency situations. - Help maintain a safe and organized patient care environment.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • BCLS certification.

One of the following:

  • B-EMT certification,
  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program,
  • Completion of a formal nursing education program,
  • Completion of a formal medical doctor education program,
  • One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience (must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).

 

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience. - EMT license.
