Join Henry Ford Health Pharmacy Advantage team as a full Time Pharmacy Clerk!

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Location: Pharmacy Advantage, Rochester Hills

Schedule: Full Time - 40 hours Afternoons

Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists in the stocking and storage of inventory. Assists in the filing of prescription records. Operates the POS system where applicable. Delivers completed prescription orders to patients in the various clinics and/or hospital at their location. Assists in the shipping of packages to patient’s home or office. Reports to the pharmacist on duty. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assists where allowed by law in the processing of the pharmacy order.
  • Put away medications on the shelves as needed in their appropriate locations. 
  • Mark with a bold X all opened drug bottles. 
  • Straightens and inventories all over the counter medications. 
  • In the Ambulatory setting, operate the POS system. Ring up patients at the pharmacy. Create delivery slips for subsequent delivery to a clinic or a patient. Collect payments when possible. Create A/R accounts for patients when needed. 
  • Prepare labels for courier pick-ups as needed. 
  • Monitor for address changes for package shipping and customer requests for different delivery sites. 
  • Organizes numerically the filing of prescriptions to be kept for ten years.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent or currently be attending high school at senior level status with authorization to work.
  • Ability to maintain (lift, carry, stack) up to 40 lbs. of pharmacy inventory.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
