Job Description
Location: Henry Ford Outpatient Surgery Center – Jackson at 1125 E Michigan Ave
Schedule: Rotating shifts with start times between 5:30a-8am; No weekends or holidays
Status: Contingent, non-benefited
Positions Available: Pre/Post-Operative and Operating Room (OR)

Role Overview
As an RN Ambulatory Cont, you will provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while effectively communicating with the healthcare team. Your role is vital in ensuring patients receive the best possible care and support.

What You Will Do
- Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families.
- Effectively communicate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current clinical knowledge in your area of specialty.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Candidates with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of start date. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
- Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of operating room and/or pre- and post-operative nursing experience, OR 3 years of emergency department and/or intensive care unit nursing experience
- Specialty-specific clinical experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
