Role Overview

As a Lab Assistant-Specimen Collect, you play a vital role in supporting patient care by performing essential laboratory procedures. You'll work closely with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing. Your work directly contributes to timely and accurate diagnostic results, making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Perform specimen collection, including phlebotomy, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
• Process and transport laboratory specimens and materials according to established procedures.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and enter orders into the system.
• Interact with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain safety and proficiency in handling specimens from patients of all ages.

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience
