Job Description
West Bloomfield, willingness to travel to other sites
Contingent (Minimum of 36 hours per 6 week schedule)
Responsibilities Include: Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, catheter changes, point of care, bladder scans, testosterone injections, various procedures, etc.
Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 1 year RN Inpatient or Clinic care. Urology patient care preferred. Procedural background helpful, in-basket triage and prior authorization knowledge helpful.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principle investigator.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
- Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
