Role Overview

As an Optician, you play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the best eyewear solutions. You¿ll work closely with doctors to select, measure, and fit eyewear based on prescription specifications. Your expertise directly supports patient satisfaction and visual health, making a meaningful difference in their daily lives.

What You Will Do

  • Select and fit eyewear based on doctors' prescription specifications.
  • Measure patients to ensure proper eyewear fit and comfort.
  • Assist patients in choosing frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Complete all required training courses as directed by Henry Ford Optimeyes.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous computer experience and basic math skills.
  • Previous customer service, retail, or hospitality experience.
