The team at Henry Ford Family Medicine – Leslie is committed to delivering comprehensive, quality care for families at every stage of life. Your primary care specialist will provide preventive care and help you manage any chronic conditions you or your family members might have.

When you need non-emergency medical attention during the day or after hours, you can receive care using our Same-day care options. Do not use Same-Day Care for life-threatening conditions, management of chronic conditions, well visits or vaccinations.

As a Patient Registration Representative, you play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from arrival to discharge. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, providing essential support to both them and our clinical staff. Your work directly contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of our healthcare delivery, making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

What You Will Do

  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate and complete registration information.
  • Verify insurance and discuss general financial responsibilities with patients.
  • Handle cash collections and connect patients with the Customer Service Center for further assistance.
  • Reconcile patient charts and manage discharge processes efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and interruptions with ease.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform calculations, complete forms, and extensively utilize computer information systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Basic computer skills, including navigating software, email, and logging in/out of systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with a clinic environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
