Job Description
The Birthing Center (Labor & Delivery) at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is committed to serving expecting families in the Downriver area and surrounding communities. The unit delivers care across the childbearing experience from prenatal testing, an OB dedicated triage to extended care of infants after delivery in a 8 bed Special Care nursery. We provide labor care in thirteen spacious rooms where most patients will stay from admission until discharge. There are five semi-private post-partum rooms for post-op caesarean section (C/S) patients or patient overflow during busy times. Two surgical suites and recovery room on the unit are dedicated specifically for scheduled and non-scheduled C/S surgeries. We offer a knowledgeable and cohesive team, outstanding physician/resident/nurse relationships, experienced and supportive leadership team that afford you the opportunity to learn and grow, and an orientation program tailored around your experience, skill level and personal needs. Our staff enjoys flexible self-scheduling allowing you the best opportunity for work-life balance. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
