Intern responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Support the team in gathering data, preparing basic reports, and summarizing information for internal customers under the guidance of experienced team members; 
2. Assist with documenting business requirements, preparing meeting materials and status updates, tracking follow-up items, supporting report testing and data reconciliation, contributing to process improvement efforts, and helping maintain and develop standard operating procedures, job aids, and shared team resources.
3. Collaborate with analytics, clinical, operational, and business teams to understand reporting needs and learn how data solutions support health care operations and decision making; 
4. Help maintain and improve existing reports, dashboards, process flows, and documentation; 
5. Video participation in meetings, project discussions, webinars, and educational opportunities to build knowledge of health care analytics, business intelligence, and operational workflows; 
6. Assist with reviewing data for accuracy and quality, identifying trends or gaps, and communicating findings in a clear and professional manner; 
7. Contribute ideas for improving work efficiency, reporting processes, and overall customer support; 
8. And perform related duties as assigned in support of the Provider Analytics and Physician Partnership teams

Location: Detroit, Michigan, with remote work arrangement being majority of job time

Education: Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor¿s or master¿s degree program in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Health Informatics, Business Analytics, Public Health, or a related field of study.
 

Training: None required; on-the-job training will be provided.
 

Requirements: Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Exposure to SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, data visualization, statistics, machine learning concepts, Lean Six Sigma, or electronic health record systems is preferred but not required.
