Job Description

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is a 412 bed, Level II Trauma, Magnet designated organization situated in South Central Michigan, perfectly surrounded by lush golf courses and beautiful lakes, conveniently 40 minutes west of Ann Arbor, 40 minutes south of Lansing, and 40 minutes east of Battle Creek. 

 

Under the supervision of the Director / Nurse Manager, the Assistant Clinical Manager assumes both a clinical and management role. This position is responsible to plan, organize, and direct the provision of patient care services within the department. The Assistant Clinical Manager is to assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets, quality improvement programs, staffing levels, goals, objectives, regulatory compliance, and policies within the department. Also the Assistant Clinical Manager is to assist in the evaluation and discipline of personnel. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
     
  • Two (2) years RN experience
     
  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy: Communication; Ownership; Understanding; Motivation; Sensitivity; Excellence; Teamwork; Respect
     
  • Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services
     
  • Must possess the following personal qualities: Be self-directed; Be flexible and committed to the team concept; Demonstrate teamwork, initiative and willingness to learn; Be open to new learning experiences; Accepts and respects diversity without judgment; Demonstrates customer service values

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 

  • Current RN License in the State of Michigan
     
  • BCLS / ACLS per unit’s standards
     
  • Certifications appropriate for specific unit
