Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision the Grant/Contract Manager III is responsible for:
- Monitoring the financial status of multiple grants within a functional group or team of Principal Investigators (PIs) in a department or division.
- This role ensures compliance with accounting procedures, analyzes expenses to allocate grant funds accurately, and collaborates across departments to resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Additionally, this role will assist PIs in preparing research grant applications, focusing on budget preparation in adherence to internal and external guidelines.
- This position requires strong financial forecasting, problem solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, health related field, finance, or business.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Three (3) years of experience in project management, research, grant or contract management, or finance.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
