Job Description

Henry Ford Health is seeking an academic/employed orthopedic spine surgeon to join a busy practice including 2 surgeons and 3 APP's to provide extensive surgical spine care to the Henry Ford Health Metro Detroit community.

The position offers opportunities in multiple settings ranging from a level 1 Academic Hospital, to a level 3 Community Hospital, to an Ambulatory Surgical Center.

Spine conditions encountered will encompass degenerative, deformity, tumor, infection and revision surgery.  Other duties may include teaching and supervision of resident trainees and students as well as scholarly activity.  Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon experience.  Call coverage is 4 to 5 days/month at our Main Hospital.

Qualifications

Prior to starting employment qualified applicant must:

1) Have a Medical Doctorate or equivalent

2) Hold or be eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan

3) be board-certified or eligible in orthopedic surgery

4) have completed a spine surgery fellowship.
