Job Description
Henry Ford Brighton Center for Recovery is looking for a moonlighting Addiction Medicine physician to join our elite team!
Henry Ford Brighton Center for Recovery is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Addictionologist. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Henry Ford Brighton Center for Recovery to care for patients who are dealing with alcohol and drug addiction.
Position Highlights:
- Henry Ford Brighton Center for Recovery is the only licensed drug treatment center in Michigan with 24-hour nursing staff coverage
- Full-time licensed dietitian and nutrition specialist on campus
- On-site drug treatment physicians, counselors and therapists
- Hospital employed day position, office hours 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and participates in on call schedule on a rotational basis
Responsibilities:
- Outpatient visits consists of children's program, outpatient medical/psychiatric follow-up and women's recovery
- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnosis and treatment skills
- Recommends, participates in and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients
- Provides appropriate documentation related to patient care
- Work in collaboration with other members of the health care team to deliver high-quality patient care
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required Credential(s):
• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
Preferred Credential(s):
• Board Certified in specialty
• Board Certified in Addiction Medicine
• Suboxone Waiver preferred
Education:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
