Location: Henry Ford Jackson Hospital
Schedule: Contingent Days, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Join our dynamic Radiology team and make a real difference in patient care! As a Radiology Technology Assistant, you'll work under general supervision to deliver exceptional support across our imaging department. You'll be the backbone of our operations—ensuring patients feel welcomed, prepared, and informed while assisting our clinical team with a diverse range of imaging procedures and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Elevate the Patient Experience: Welcome patients with professionalism and compassion during check-in, answer their questions, and prepare them for their imaging exams with clear, easy-to-understand guidance
- Support Clinical Excellence: Assist radiology technologists and physicians during exams and procedures across multiple imaging modalities—from X-ray to ultrasound and beyond—ensuring smooth, efficient operations
- Ensure Patient Comfort & Safety: Transport patients safely between departments, position them for optimal imaging, and provide reassurance throughout their visit
- Maintain Operational Efficiency: Handle clerical tasks including scheduling coordination, documentation, and exam preparation to keep our department running seamlessly
- Adapt & Grow: Work flexibly across various imaging sections and clinical services, gaining exposure to different specialties and expanding your technical knowledge
- Uphold Quality Standards: Follow established protocols and best practices to maintain the highest standards of patient care and departmental excellence
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School graduate or equivalent required
Basic computer knowledge required.
Medical knowledge and terminology preferred
One (1) year clinical experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required upon hire or during orientation to department.
