Job Description

Ready to be a patient's champion? As a Registered Nurse Patient Navigator in Gynecology Oncology, you'll be the go-to guide helping patients navigate their care journey with confidence, compassion, and a whole lot of heart.

 

Responsibilities:

Be the bridge connecting patients, physicians, management, insurance companies, and community resources—basically, you're the glue that holds everything together!

 

Champion quality improvement and educational initiatives that make a real difference in patient outcomes.

 

Dig into the data, track results, and spot opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the patient experience.

 

Connect uninsured and underinsured patients with referrals and support services so no one falls through the cracks.

 

Empower patients and families with clear, compassionate education about diagnoses, treatment options, and available support—helping them make informed decisions they feel confident about.

 

Work your scheduling magic to coordinate appointments, procedures, and consultations while creatively removing barriers to care access.

 

Help patients tackle the insurance maze and discover financial assistance programs that ease their burden.

 

Be the patient's voice! Advocate for their needs and preferences, and keep the care team in the loop about what matters most to them.

 

Keep meticulous records of patient interactions, referrals, and outcomes in the electronic health record system so nothing gets lost in translation.

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. - BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross preferred
