Job Description
Shift Hours: Mid Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12), with every other weekend required.
Total Hours: 36 Hours - Full Time with Full Time benefits

GENERAL SUMMARY: As a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech, you'll play a vital role in our cardiac care team, working under general supervision to monitor and identify normal and abnormal electrocardiogram (EKG) rhythms using advanced telemetry monitoring equipment. You'll be the critical eyes and ears at our central monitoring station, ensuring patient safety by promptly notifying appropriate personnel during emergencies. Your expertise in managing and troubleshooting telemetry equipment will directly impact patient outcomes, while you competently operate central station monitoring equipment and maintain all cardiac monitoring systems for admitted, discharged, and transferred patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively monitor and accurately identify normal and abnormal EKG rhythms utilizing telemetry monitoring equipment
- Respond promptly to emergencies by notifying appropriate clinical personnel of critical cardiac events
- Maintain and troubleshoot all equipment associated with cardiac monitoring systems
- Competently operate telemetry central station monitoring equipment, leveraging all capability features
- Manage cardiac monitoring for patients throughout their admission, discharge, and transfer processes
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care and safety
- Demonstrate proficiency in multitasking and maintaining focus during high-stress or emergent situations
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. We're excited to invest in your growth! You'll complete a comprehensive arrhythmia course during your introductory period, which includes written and verbal testing to validate your knowledge and skills. You should demonstrate proficiency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting common issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous healthcare experience is a plus! We'd love to hear from candidates with backgrounds as EKG Technicians, Medical Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians, Nursing Assistants, or those with formal education in cardiac monitoring. You're someone who thrives while multitasking and stays sharp and focused even in high-pressure or emergent situations—turning challenges into opportunities to make a real difference in patient care.
