Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Senior Project Manager champions large-scale, system-wide initiatives that drive transformational change across Henry Ford Health. This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise priorities and deliver measurable impact across the organization. You'll demonstrate advanced expertise in budget forecasting, benefit realization, quality management, and executive-level stakeholder engagement. This position is ideal for a visionary leader ready to tackle high-visibility projects that enhance operational performance, strengthen system integration, and create lasting organizational value.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Champion multi-site and enterprise initiatives through all phases, establishing clear objectives, scope, and success metrics that align with organizational vision.
- Craft strategic budgets, forecasts, and resource plans that maximize enterprise investment impact and drive financial accountability.
- Orchestrate governance processes, risk management, and benefit tracking frameworks that validate outcomes, demonstrate ROI, and build stakeholder confidence.
- Navigate cross-functional collaboration across hospitals, service lines, and corporate functions, fostering alignment and breaking down organizational silos.
- Cultivate best-practice project standards and quality assurance frameworks that elevate consistency and excellence across all initiatives.
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from steering committees to executive leadership, through compelling communication and strategic reporting.
- Mentor and develop junior project managers and coordinators, building a culture of continuous learning and capability advancement across the system.
- Lead comprehensive post-implementation evaluations that capture lessons learned, ensure sustainability, and unlock opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible project management experience, including enterprise or multi-site initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage complex budgets. Expertise in risk mitigation, governance, and quality management required.
