Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Workday Specialist to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday solutions within a financial services environment. This role focuses on implementing business rules, customising the platform to meet business needs, and ensuring seamless integration across systems. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the position is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and aligned with organisational objectives.
What you will do:
- Design and configure Workday modules aligned with business requirements and best practices.
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely delivery of milestones while maintaining quality standards across the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the central point of contact and manage stakeholder communication across all organisational levels.
- Develop and deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions using industry-aligned tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure code reliability, readability, and performance.
- Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing end-to-end Workday implementations.
- Strong understanding of Workday solutions and implementation best practices.
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams within complex environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of software development practices including coding standards, testing, and integration.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection principles.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and manage competing priorities.
