Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an Automation Engineer to develop, maintain, and support automation workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability across network and security operations. This role focuses on reducing manual operational effort, improving service quality, and enabling configuration as code practices across infrastructure environments. The position plays an important role in integrating systems, supporting automated provisioning processes, and building scalable automation frameworks that support modern infrastructure management practices.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows using tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Build and maintain reusable automation modules, templates, and playbooks for operational processes.
• Integrate infrastructure systems and platforms through REST APIs to support automated provisioning and configuration.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows that support infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and optimise automation logic for scalability and reliability.
• Support automated configuration management and infrastructure as code practices across operational environments.
• Generate automated reporting and operational insights through scripted data collection and processing.
• Maintain documentation for automation frameworks, scripts, workflows, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to incident management and change management processes related to automated infrastructure operations.

• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python for automation and infrastructure tasks.
• Hands-on experience using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent infrastructure automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating systems using REST APIs and automated service interfaces.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code concepts and configuration management practices.
• Experience working with version control platforms such as Git for managing automation code and collaboration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development and automated deployment workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot automation logic and resolve integration or execution failures.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills within complex infrastructure and operations environments.
