Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 6-month initial contract, with review and potential 6-month or 12-month rolling extension                                                                                                                                               
Hours: 20 per week (4 hours per day M-F)
Work Setup: Remote

Our client in the investment management industry is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join the firm’s Marketing Global Operations team, working collaboratively with the wider marketing team to support various design initiatives. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders across the business, including portfolio managers, investment teams, sales, communications, marketing, and client operations.

  • Learn and apply brand guidelines and values, ensuring consistent representation across all print and digital design work.
  • Create engaging web designs that enhance user experience and align with brand identity, including email and page banners, infographics, and related materials.
  • Leverage Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce high-quality graphics and layouts aligned with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create visually appealing content for campaigns across various media platforms.
  • Design and edit marketing materials, including brochures and promotional documents, using Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and PDF editing tools.
  • Produce and format templated PDFs for thought leadership articles using Adobe InDesign.
  • Create and update marketing documents such as fillable PDFs in Adobe Acrobat, integrating Word, PowerPoint, and Creative Suite tools.
  • Edit, resize, and enhance images and staff photography using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Maintain accuracy and quality control through attention to detail, proofreading, and correct English usage for all short-form content.
  • Ensure consistency in file naming, organization, and storage.
  • Support quality control processes for your own work and assist with peer reviews where required.
  • Prioritize and organize design requests to meet project deadlines.
  • Develop static and animated data visualizations using tools such as Flourish (training provided).
  • Collaborate closely with one Senior Designer, the Web agency, and the wider Marketing team (Editorial, Creative, Operational, and Website teams).

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Adobe After Effects; other Adobe tools are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for document and presentation production.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in interpreting briefs and transforming concepts into compelling visual executions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing visual concepts and infographic design.
  • Basic animation skills.
  • Solid understanding of branding principles and marketing strategies.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to remain self-motivated.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality work under minimal supervision.
  • 1.5+ years of relevant experience with a portfolio showcasing design capabilities.
  • Good Excel skills and some data visualization experience would be advantageous.
