The Team
Pursue efficient tax structures that are in compliance with international tax standards. 

The Group Tax team is a growing team that consists of seven tax professionals.  
The Senior Tax Manager (Sweden) bridges Group Tax and the Swedish organisation, providing technical guidance, strategic input, and proactive coordination between Group and local stakeholders. 
Key areas of work / goals: 

  • Serve as primary Group Tax liaison for Sweden, ensuring efficient handling of all Swedish tax matters. 
  • Support and review quarterly and annual tax reporting, tax provisions, and related analyses 
  • Advise on Swedish and international tax implications of corporate restructurings, financing arrangements and transactions. 
  • Support Group-level structuring, funding, and acquisition projects in collaboration with the Director Group Tax, Lead Group Tax Structuring, and other Group functions. 

This role will report to the Director of Group Tax. This is a full-time position open for candidates based in Malmö or Copenhagen. 

 

Job Description


Your core responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and technical tax advice to Group Tax and Swedish business units. 

  • Participate in structuring and planning projects impacting Swedish entities, ensuring tax-efficient and compliant solutions. 

  • Review and challenge tax calculations and reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency with Group standards. 

  • Support bank refinancing, cash repatriation, and intercompany funding arrangements with Swedish implications. 

  • Manage and coordinate tax audits or disputes in cooperation with the local finance team and external advisors. 

  • Contribute to the development of internal tax controls and documentation practices within Sweden. 

  • Collaborate with Group functions (Finance, Legal, Treasury, Accounting) and local management to embed tax governance in business processes. 

  • Handle ad hoc strategic tax matters as directed by the Director Group Tax. 

  • Handle ad hoc strategic tax matters and projects as determined by the Director Group Tax.

     

Qualifications


To fit this role, we look for you who has: 

  • 8–10 years of experience in Swedish and international corporate taxation, preferably from a multinational group, Big 4, or tax authority 

  • In-depth expertise in Swedish corporate taxation and preferably VAT.  Experience with real estate tax and cross-border financing structures is a strong advantage 

  • Solid understanding of OECD principles, cross-border taxation 

  • MSc. In (Tax) Law, Finance, or equivalent 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across Group and local teams 

  • Work permit or currently based in Malmö or Copenhagen.
