Job Description

Hato Hone St John Youth programme is for tamariki and rangatahi aged 5-19, with a focus on teaching first aid and life skills they will have forever. We are looking for a Youth Administrator to provide administrative support and leadership to a special youth programme project, as we gear up to mark 100 years of the Hato Hone St John Youth programme in 2027.

This is a fixed term position until October 2027, working 10 hours per week. Delivery of the 10 hours are flexible for the right candidate, however some evening hours will be required. We are open to strong candidates across the motu. 

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Outlining and organising plans for the 2027 celebrations 
  • Project support for planning and delivery of events
  • Prepare communications, resources, and information for internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate and lead meetings alongside a project team

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in event planning and/or project management
  • Strong administration skills and comfortable working with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to build strong, meaningful relationships across a diverse range of people
