Are you a first responder currently enrolled in or undertaking the NZDAP (New Zealand Diploma in Ambulance Practice)? We are looking for Emergency Medical Assistants (EMAs) who are on the EMT pathway to join our dedicated team in Hawke's Bay!
We have permanent opportunities available for EMAs, with the goal to transition into an EMT role once you’ve passed your EMT CAD.

Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current St John Authority to Practice at First Responder
- A current enrollment and undertaking the New Zealand Diploma in Ambulance Practice
- Ability to pass EMT CAD within a reasonable timeframe
- Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent driving record
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
- The ability to work under pressure
- Evidence of CCE
- New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or work visa
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
