As a Recruitment Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our recruitment team by delivering a people-first experience that’s organised, professional, and engaging for every candidate. From sourcing talent to coordinating interviews and managing pre-employment checks, you'll be hands on and at the heart of the candidate journey.
The portfolio you'll be supporting is highly volunteer-centric, requiring ongoing engagement and relationship management of active volunteer talent communities. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves connecting with people. If picking up the phone, having a good kōrero, and helping someone take the next step in their journey sounds like your kind of day, you might be just who we’re after.
Key responsibilities:
- Calling and phone screening candidates - you’ll be the friendly first voice they hear, helping to assess their fit and guide them through the process
- Using job boards, social media, and networks to find great people and start meaningful conversations
- Coordinating interviews and supporting hiring managers to keep the process running smoothly
- Managing pre-employment checks (police vetting, references, and other role-specific requirements)
- Supporting info evenings, assessment centres, and community-focused careers events
- Maintaining strong, ready-to-go talent pools in our CRM for both paid and volunteer roles
- Jumping in to support Recruitment Advisors as needed
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
- Experience working as a Candidate Manager or Recruitment Coordinator in an internal recruitment or agency environment preferred.
- Previous experience working with volunteers or an understanding of volunteer workforce dynamics is advantageous.
- You’re a natural people-person who gets energy from meaningful conversations
- You’re tech-savvy and confident using recruitment systems and digital tools
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable juggling a busy to-do list
- A genuine interest in delivering a great experience for both candidates and hiring managers
