Step into a role where your digital expertise creates real impact! As the Digital Fundraising Specialist, you will coordinate digital strategy and approach for all aspects of fundraising related appeals and online campaigns. The focus will be on delivery, reporting, campaign support and growing online fundraising capability within the wider fundraising team.  Close liaison with the National Digital Marketing team to align with other campaigns where appropriate, and to follow internal protocols.   

Reporting to the Special Projects Manager – Fundraising, you will play a pivotal role in introducing new fundraising revenue to the wider fundraising mix. A dedicated focus on donor experience and engagement is critical to all aspects of the role, as is an innovative and creative mindset for initiating new fundraising opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilise appropriate digital marketing and online fundraising tools to deliver engaging donor experiences across the full range of current fundraising portfolios
  • Manage all components of digital marketing for fundraising appeals and campaigns including SEM, SMS, eDMs, social media (paid and organic) within Hato Hone St Jonh (HHSJ) frameworks and alongside the Digital Marketing team
  • Lead the delivery of tactical digital aspects of fundraising appeals including Annual Appeal, Giving Days and other peer to peer activities, with focus on increasing conversion & donation revenue
  • Work closely with the regional teams to support and promote local and regional peer to peer fundraising opportunities
  • Oversee all content on HHSJ website as it relates to fundraising, and on the online fundraising platform/fundraising hub
  • Contribute proactively as a member of the team, supporting the wider fundraising team to grow and develop digital revenue objectives to meet annual targets including revenue, donor acquisition, donor engagement

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Proven digital fundraising background
  • Knowledge of peer-to-peer fundraising, from engagement through to active fundraising and post event donor journeys
  • Solid understanding of online fundraising platforms (from build through to analysis), and proven ability to manage social media campaigns
  • Knowledge of SEO and UX best practices, with strong skills in performance reporting and data analysis
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, proactive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Practical experience with Raisely, Pardot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude and a strong sense of teamwork
  • Strong ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively, with flexibility to shift priorities to meet business needs
