Job Description

He aha te tūranga - About the role: 

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will provide exceptional donor care and help to build and maintain strong donor relationships that drive our fundraising success. Some of your key responsibilities will include managing fundraising inboxes, responding to and delegating enquiries from donors, investigating and resolving issues impacting the donor experience, working closely with the customer services team to provide fundraising guidance and support, engaging with donors by making proactive phone calls to strengthen connections and enhance donor retention. Collating, tracking and reporting on donor feedback across multiple channels to amplify the ‘Voice of the Donor’ and enhance the donor experience. 

As this role is deeply donor-focused, you’ll bring a strong customer-centric mindset and the ability to communicate with empathy and clarity.  Your great communication and administrative skills combined with keen attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to multitask, will help you thrive in this fast-paced and purpose-driven role.

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Excellent communication and listening skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively, with flexibility to shift priorities to meet business needs
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve results
  • A high level of donor/customer focus and professional attitude, including an excellent telephone manner and experience in handling donor/customers’ enquiries and resolving issues effectively
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
