Job Description

He aha te tūranga - About the role:

As a Hato Hone St John First Aid Tutor you will deliver First Aid courses to our key business customers and to the general public.

Ideally you will have adult education or workshop facilitation experience. You will be paid to gain qualifications in this field if you don't already have them. We are looking for confident, motivated First Aid Tutors with a passion for the delivery of high-quality training, in a way that engages attendees and delivers great results for our customers.

We deliver courses 7 days a week so it is important that you can be flexible in your availability. Some weekend work is necessary, and this allows us to roster days off during the week. Days can be long so you will need to be available outside of a usual 9-5 day.

Your hard work will be rewarded by a great starting rate of $ 61, 700 (with an increase once signed off to teach independently), a uniform, professional development, great work stories and the deep satisfaction that comes from making a life changing difference to individuals in your community.

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people from all walks of life.
  • Stunningly good communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to problem solve and stay calm while doing so.
  • A positive can-do attitude with the ability to motivate others
  • Awesome organisational and planning skills
  • Enthusiasm to complete relevant adult education qualifications
  • Experience within the adult education/training field

This is a great opportunity to do what you already love, within a supportive team and amazing organisation that enables you to make a difference every day. Are you up to the challenge?
