Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interior Design leader to help shape the future of our Brisbane Interior Design team.

Working closely with the Interior Design Group Leader, you'll play a critical role in leading projects, supporting team development and helping grow our Interior Design capability.

This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys balancing project delivery, people leadership and client engagement. You'll help guide project teams, mentor designers and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Brisbane studio.

As a Senior Associate, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of complex interior design projects across workplace, education, health, hospitality and science sectors
  • Work closely with the Group Leader to support team leadership, capability building and studio culture
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams from concept through to delivery
  • Mentor and develop Interior Designers across different career stages
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Support business development activities and contribute to future project opportunities
  • Champion design quality, technical excellence and project performance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Hassell's Australian studios

Qualifications

About you

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Significant experience leading complex interior design projects
  • Strong people leadership and mentoring capability
  • Experience managing client relationships and project delivery outcomes
  • A track record of delivering high-quality workplace, education, health, hospitality or science projects
  • Strong design, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Technical confidence and a solid understanding of project delivery processes
  • Revit capability and experience leading documentation teams
  • A collaborative leadership style and a genuine interest in helping others succeed
