Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Architectural BIM Manager to join our Sydney studio and play a key leadership role in shaping and strengthening BIM practice across the studio.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable BIM professional with an architectural background to lead best practice, support project teams, and drive digital delivery excellence across a portfolio of significant health projects throughout Australia.
Working closely with studio leadership, project teams, and broader digital design stakeholders, you will provide hands-on BIM leadership across projects and within the studio environment. You will help guide standards, workflows, training, and model management, while supporting the successful delivery of complex healthcare projects in a collaborative, design-led practice.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong Revit capability and experience with dRofus, ideally gained through work on major health, public, or complex technical projects.
About the role
As Architectural BIM Manager, you will be responsible for leading and advancing BIM implementation across the Sydney studio, while also contributing directly to project delivery on major healthcare projects. This role combines strategic oversight with practical support and will suit someone who enjoys working across both people and projects.
You will act as a key point of contact for BIM processes, technical problem-solving, digital standards, and team capability uplift. You will also support interdisciplinary coordination and help ensure consistent, high-quality BIM delivery aligned with client and project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide BIM leadership across the Sydney studio, promoting best practice, consistency, and continuous improvement.
- Support project teams in the setup, management, and delivery of BIM processes across significant health projects.
- Lead and maintain studio BIM standards, templates, workflows, and quality assurance procedures.
- Act as a technical expert in Revit, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to architectural teams.
- Support BIM execution planning, model management, coordination processes, and information exchange requirements.
- Contribute to the implementation and effective use of dRofus, particularly in relation to health planning and data management workflows.
- Work collaboratively with architects, project leaders, consultants, and digital design teams to ensure coordinated and efficient project delivery.
- Assist with staff training, mentoring, and capability development in BIM tools, standards, and processes.
- Help identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and improvement in digital design and documentation workflows.
- Support project teams in meeting client, project, and regulatory BIM requirements across all delivery stages.
Qualifications
About you
You are an experienced BIM leader with a strong understanding of architectural practice and digital project delivery. You bring a combination of technical expertise, collaborative leadership, and a genuine interest in helping teams work smarter and more effectively.
You will likely have:
- Significant experience in a BIM management or senior BIM coordination role within an architectural practice.
- A background in architecture, architectural technology, or digital design delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including model setup, documentation workflows, family standards, coordination, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with dRofus, ideally in healthcare or other complex briefing and data-rich project environments.
- Demonstrated experience working on large, complex projects, with health project experience highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, model coordination, and information management practices.
- The ability to lead, influence, and support teams across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day delivery support.
