Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and highly impactful Business Development & Marketing Manager to strengthen our client relationships, drive impactful marketing campaigns, and position Hassell for future opportunities across Australia.
Based in Sydney and working across our national studios, you’ll play a key role in aligning global strategies with local market needs—ensuring our brand and business development efforts connect meaningfully with clients and industry partners.
You will work closely with our experience Business Development team, consisting of experienced BDM's, Bid team and closely with the Group Brand and Marketing team.
The Role
In this role, you’ll:
- Coordinate regional thought leadership and industry partnerships.
- Develop and deliver regional marketing plans that align with global campaigns, business objectives, and sector priorities.
- Lead key client engagement initiatives, including industry events, thought leadership, and studio-based activations.
- Support business development efforts by providing strategic marketing insights, materials, and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate across teams to create compelling content, coordinate client activities, and execute marketing initiatives.
- Work closely with our Group Marketing & Communications team on PR, social media, and brand positioning.
- Manage CRM data and reporting to drive targeted engagement and track marketing effectiveness.
- Oversee the regional marketing budget, ensuring resources are used effectively to maximise impact.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development and marketing, ideally within architecture, design, or the built environment.
- A strong understanding of the Australian market and a well-established industry network in the built environment.
- Proven ability to develop content, campaigns, and engagement strategies that align with brand identity and business goals.
- Confidence in managing events, client activations, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, working seamlessly across teams to achieve shared goals.
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and marketing tools.
- Exceptional communication skills—written and verbal—to connect with diverse audiences.
