Job Description
As the Digital Communication and Engagement Coordinator, you will support the delivery of up-to-date engaging websites social media channels, and other digital communication tools. Reporting to the Digital Media Manager and as a critical member of the Communication and Engagement Unit, you will support the team across a range of tasks to ensure the Council has world-class digital communication tools that effectively reach and connect with our community.
Some of the key outcomes for this role include:
• Support the corporate website and associated other websites. Including, updating content, driving use, and maintaining the content management system.
• Send Council e-newsletters, news stories and updates.
• Provide reports, insights, and analysis on digital channel usage.
• Assist with video creation, including overseeing our YouTube channel, video subtitling and liaising with suppliers.
• Respond to social media questions and comments, and support digital advertising.
Qualifications
Experience with digital communication – ideally including:
- website publishing o social media management
- email marketing o video and photo content creation
- great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- ability to operate independently, anticipate requirements and monitor workload
- ability to handle multiple jobs at once and competing priorities.
You will ideally bring 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, but this role could also suit a new graduate ready to make an impact. You will be joining a talented, collaborative and professional team.
