He angituutanga: The opportunity 

We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Event and Activations Advisor to join our Community Partnerships, Funding and Events team. If you’re an events whiz with a knack for planning and delivering top notch events and engagement, then this could be the role you are looking for!

Reporting to our Events and Activations Manager and supported by our Events and Activations Coordinator, you will take the lead on the planning and delivery of Hamilton City Council, civic and community-led events. You will execute and advise on a variety of internal, community and engagement events, and activation campaigns. 

You'll love to work hard…and have a heap of fun along the way! 

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Outstanding organisational, planning and project management skills. 
  • The flexibility to work some weekends and evenings when required.
  • Fantastic communication skills and ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, within Council and out in the community. 
  • You will thrive in a deadline driven environment and can remain calm and rational under pressure. 
  • Confident leading event crew and delegating tasks. 
  • Experience in tracking and coordinating budgets.

Circa $75K dependent on skills and experience.
