An exciting opportunity has opened for a passionate and experienced individual to join us as a Community Advisor, with a focus on our community in the Fairfield and Enderley area. If you have a strong background in community-led initiatives, expertise in strengthening organisations, and outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, this role is for you. The key to success in this role is the ability to forge partnerships that drive positive social outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll have deep connections within Hamilton, a talent for empowering organisations and communities, and the ability to navigate a political landscape with professionalism and insight.

Qualifications

Oo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar industry.
  • Tertiary level qualification in Social Science.
  • Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership responsibilities.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of people and advanced cross-cultural understanding.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in partnership with community groups.
  • Stakeholder relationship management skills, including the ability to establish new key stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Circa $75K dependent on skills and experience.
