Our Change and Corporate Communication team build staff culture and engagement and do all they can to keep our team here at Council informed, aligned and engaged on what’s important (and why).

He angituutanga: The opportunity 

We’re looking for an experienced Change and Corporate Communication Advisor to help us lead out the changes we need to make across our organisation. If you’re all about the people, have strong communication skills and can navigate complex organisational change, then this could be the role for you.

You’ll be developing and advising on change management strategies for a variety of projects across the organisation. You’ll spend your day working with a wide range of people, helping them to manage and understand change and you’ll be right into the detail to measure and report on organisational change impact.

Whatever the task, you’ll ensure our people remain at the centre of decision-making and that change is communicated exceptionally well. 

Our team are the internal communication specialists; they manage Council’s corporate communication channels, develop change management frameworks that enable change to happen in the right way, at the right time, to the right people. They support our leaders to communicate well and be advocates for change.

Qualifications

Oo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience

  • A qualification in change management, communication, project management, organisational psychology or similar.
  • Experience in a complex business environment focused on change management and internal communication.
  • An understanding of best practice change management methodologies that put people at the centre. 
  • Have previous success in leading change or internal communication plans and projects.

Circa $85K - $100K dependent on skills and experience. The position does offer flexible hours in which case the remuneration would be pro-rated.
