Job Description
This is what you'll be doing:
Coordinate and release requests for personal health information in accordance with legislative requirements.
Qualifications

- Must be a graduate of a recognized Health Information Management Program
- Must be a Certified Health Information Management Professional with CHIMA
- Must be a member in good standing with the Canadian Health Information Management Association
- Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency with Meditech EMR
- Previous Release of Information experience an asset
- Extensive interaction with external agencies, law offices, other hospitals, health care agencies, patients and their families.
- Coordinate and release requests for personal health information in accordance with legislative requirements
- Collection of payment for release of information as per the fee schedule
- Court attendance as required
- Accountable for productivity and accuracy of work completed
- Exercise judgment and resolve issues related to ROI
- Must be able to work well independently in a busy environment
- Must be able to effectively prioritize workload
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must possess exceptional English written and verbal communication skills
- Exemplary employment and attendance record required
- Must be able to physically perform the duties of the job.
- Builds relationships with our internal and external customers
Additional Information
Status: Temporary Full-time (Approx. 6 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational requirements)
Salary: $34.555 to $43.207 per hour
