Job Description

The Community Integration & Primary Healthcare program provides coordinated care and system navigation across multiple services, supporting transitions between hospital and community. This summer student role will provide direct support to program leadership, contributing to ongoing operations and quality improvement initiatives across the portfolio. This is a valuable opportunity for a student to gain administrative and project-based experience in a dynamic, system-focused healthcare program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director and management team, including calendar coordination and meeting preparation.
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, and documenting meetings.
  • Support recurring tasks such as preparing bundled care invoices, reconciling billing (CHRIS, NACRS), and processing payroll-related functions.
  • Coordinate physician contracts and billing processes
  • Contribute to ongoing tracking of staff resources and assist with the setting up of interviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and assist in organizing program files and reports.
  • Engage in special projects or research assignments as needed. 
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations  

Qualifications

  • Must be a current student enrolled in a post-secondary institution in a health services-related field (e.g., Health Administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, Nursing, or related discipline) and returning to full-time studies in September.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an interest in healthcare operations and system integration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. 

Additional Information

Hours: Monday - Friday; Days; 7.5 hours (subject to change based on operational requirements)

Starting Hourly Rate: $21.330 per hour
