Job Description
We are seeking two Maintenance Engineers, one role will be a split of Machine Operation and Maintenance and the other will be fulltime a Maintenance Engineer, both roles will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continual improvement of machinery and processes. From preventative maintenance to performance improvement projects, your expertise will keep things moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Excellence: Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance, establish preventative programs, and respond promptly to breakdowns.
- Diagnostics & Repairs: Diagnose faults and repair machinery to minimise downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek ways to enhance machine operations, set-ups, cleanings, and changeovers.
- Project Support: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and develop prototypes for new machinery/processes.
- Collaboration & Training: Guide technical staff, coordinate with external contractors, operate and provide training to team members on machinery
- Stock & Budget Management: Manage spare parts inventory, maintain records, and provide input into annual maintenance budgets and machinery purchases.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company standards.
Qualifications
- A qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer with a proven background in maintaining and optimising machinery in a production environment
- Ideally, you will have experience or familiarity with working on electronics or sensors
- Practical skills such as being able to weld, replace bearings, repair broken chains etc
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical staff and external contractors
- Exceptional organisational and record-keeping skills
- A hands-on, safety-conscious approach with the ability to develop and implement maintenance procedures
