Job Description

Strategic & Operational Leadership 

  • Strategically partner with DC Manager and participate as a member in the local logistics management team 

  • Set targets and plan execution to secure contribution to regional strategy and objectives. 

  • Lead local financial processes, such as budget, forecast, monthly and yearly cut, ensuring compliance with both external and internal standards and frameworks  

  • Collaborate with the local logistics team to set targets and monitor development of service level, sustainability, capacity, stock and shrinkage for DC operations – and in applicable regions – trade and transport. 

Financial Planning & Cost Management 

  • Ensure timely and correct invoice control, as well as cost booking per external and internal guidelines. 

  • In applicable markets – Responsible for full logistics costs including trade, transport, and DC operations. 

Coordination & Stakeholder Management 

  • Contribute to strong collaboration with internal functions and regional counterparts, including external partners and local sales organisation. 

Process & Workflow Optimisation 

  • Develop tools and methods for local controlling and operational management, while identifying synergies with regional and global structures 

Performance Analysis & Decision Support 

  • Analyse performance and identify opportunities for improvement and/or mitigation of risks. 

  • Analyse financial results, business cases, and initiatives to secure strong cost management, performance, optimise investment strategy, and minimise risks. 

  • Perform analysis and market research to support commercial processes and sign off local agreements together with DC Manager and commercial teams. 

Data & Systems administration  

  • Ensure data quality in systems and reporting, act as local business owner of logistics data warehouse. 

Compliance, Risk & Governance 

  • Prepare for internal and external audits and follow up on results and recommendations. 

Health, Safety & Sustainability 

  • Analyse and review sustainability reporting from local data providers. 

Qualifications

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Business, Economics, Logistics Management or a relevant discipline.  

Skills 

  • Strong financial knowledge and understanding of accounting principles. 

  • Strong analytical ability as well as excellent business acumen. 

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end DC operations and organisation structure. 

  • Great communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interacting with management and specialists in different functions of varying levels. 

  • Ability to perform under pressure, with strong ability to prioritise 

  • Solid understanding of local Sales organisation and its inner working. 

  • Proven experience in setting goals with plans and actions on how to achieve them. 

  • Ability to identify scalable initiatives for improvement and drive them from ideation to successful completion. 

Experience 

  • Experience of DC financial and operational controlling.  

  • Experience and technical ability in financial tools, with the proactive approach to quickly adapt to new systems and dynamics
