WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Work Force Management Specialist, you will drive sales and profitability by planning, budgeting and analysing labour hours, staffing costs and scheduling efficiency across stores. You will support Store and Area Managers with insights, training and system expertise to ensure accurate scheduling, smooth operations and compliance with Workforce One, Argos and Star processes, while partnering closely with Payroll, IT and People. In this role, you will be responsible for the Sales Market Greece consisting of Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia. 

You will:

  • Budget effective and ineffective hours as well as salary costs for all stores in line with country goals.
  • Forecast workforce developments proactively and communicate insights to Area Managers to support sales and profitability.
  • Follow up regularly on sales results, hours planning and salary cost budgets, and support stores in aligning sales planning and scheduling.
  • Set and continuously align hourly function plans, schedules and contract structures together with Store Management to enable efficient store operations and a great customer and colleague experience.
  • Define the desired contract structure per store together with Area Managers and translate targets into recruitment needs in close cooperation with recruitment partners.
  • Initiate and lead follow‑up meetings with Store Managers based on performance analysis and steering from Area Managers.
  • Conduct regular store visits together with Area Managers to validate analyses, coach stores on daily planning and gather operational insights.
  • Follow up on function plan quality and scheduling accuracy, analyze deviations versus budget and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Workforce One, Argos and Star systems, manuals and guidelines.
  • Act as the country point of contact for complex system questions and secure correct data flow.
  • Prepare and deliver trainings and collaborate closely with Payroll, Country IT and system providers.
  • Educate Store Management on controlling principles, planning and follow‑up to strengthen financial and operational capabilities.
  • Enable strong planning and scheduling competence within Store Management teams to secure a consistent omni customer experience.

As a Work Force Management Specialist, you will work closely with Store Managers, Area Managers, Payroll, People, Country IT and system providers. You will collaborate across functions to secure effective workforce planning, compliant processes and strong operational performance in stores.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably within Finance, Business Administration or Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in retail, preferably in a retail management, business analyst or retail operations role.
  • Strong interest in workforce planning, scheduling efficiency and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce or sales planning tools, with the ability to adapt to company‑specific systems.
  • The ability to coach, support and guide managers in planning and performance topics.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
