WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Solution Architect – Product Sourcing, you are responsible for the solution architecture supporting several products across the area with focus on Sourcing, Component and Data and AI capabilities.

The role combines hands-on architectural work with advisory responsibility. You both design solutions and act as a trusted advisor, guiding teams and sftakeholders toward the target architecture while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and data governance. 

Key Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect within Product Sourcing, you will both perform and advise across the solution lifecycle:

  • Design and advise on solution architecture aligned with area strategy, business goals, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Translate business and technical needs into clear architectural designs and decision support for teams and stakeholders. 
  • Design integrations and advise on best architectural choices between solutions.
  • Analyse existing solutions, identify gaps, risks, and technical debt, and both drive and recommend improvements toward the target state.
  • Apply holistic thinking to identify interdependencies across teams and initiatives. 
  • Create and maintain solution roadmaps and transition architectures, and guide teams in their implementation. 
  • Provide architectural guidance, coaching, and advisory support to delivery teams and stakeholders. 
  • Support in the creation and maintenance of the area’s data models needed to enable strategic initiatives across the different domains
  • Contribute to architecture standards, patterns, and best practices within the Architecture Community. 
  • Support and advise in technology evaluation and selection to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

You work closely with Area Business Manager, Area Tech Manager, Engineering Managers and the rest of Business and Tech colleagues to ensure that we do the right things while doing things right. 

You are part of a broader Solution Architect community and contribute to shared standards, patterns, and ways of working. 

WHO YOU ARE

You are a collaborative and structured architect who can bridge business and technology. You are comfortable in complex, global environments and can explain architecture in a clear and pragmatic way. You bring: 

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale systems.
  • Experience documenting and communicating architecture across business, process, information, application, and technology perspectives.
  • Ability to translate complex business flows into clear solution designs and architecture artefacts. 
  • Proven experience in solution architecture within cloud-native and microservices environments.
  • Advanced understanding of integration technologies such as Kafka, Solace, and Azure API Management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance-by-design principles.
  • Experience on AI solutions architecture and deployment is an advantage.
  • Experience working across federated, multi-team environments in a scaled agile setup.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost-conscious design decisions across infrastructure, data, and integration layers.
  • Strong judgment in balancing technical ambition with delivery velocity and resource constraints.
  • Experience from retail, ecommerce, or global organizations is an advantage. 
  • Strong understanding of capability modelling and domain-driven design (DDD) is an advantage.
