Job Description

Overall Job Function:  Responsible for improving performance of the store by increasing sales and maximizing profitably through supporting and developing the management team in store operation standards.  Applicable in large volume stores of $20+ million.

 

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

  • Executes plans to maximize sales opportunities through operational focuses and takes action to obtain highest level of profitability for the store.
  • Follows-up and updates function plans, master schedules and daily breakdowns in scheduling and timekeeping system to ensure compliance with ideal staff plans. Takes weekly and monthly schedule program maintenance, as well as coaching on daily STAR routines with the store management team.
  • Ensures staff schedule is completed to maximize conversion and increase the customer experience within the frame of the hours plan.
  • Ensures H&M customer service standards are delivered in your store.
  • Coaches store management team and sales staff on H&M best practices on the salesfloor.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reacts to weekly/daily sales and hour plans results from store to achieve both sales and SPH goals. 
  • Works with the store management team, including Store HR Generalist, to ensure that staff plans operate in accordance to the business need, based on sales peaks, customer demands and the general store functions necessary for efficient operation.
  • Trains and develops store team in staff, sales planning and Profit and Loss follow-up.
  • Analyzes and takes action with store team to achieve and maintain stock levels which maximize selling and minimize reductions.
  • Oversees stockroom organization based on company best practices.
  • Manages flow of garments between truck delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
  • Oversees and coaches management team to the store replenishment routine and needs, and implements these into the schedule on a daily bases.
  • Supervises Cash Office Responsibles and Stockroom staff including but not limited to overseeing recruiting, training, development, progressive discipline and performance management.
  • Overview of audit and shrink routines and best practices in store, including cash handling and PCI compliance routines.
  • Supervises RFID and stock counting processes, coaching team on stock accuracy and retagging procedures. Take appropriate follow-up with management team to provide consistent results that promote a strong customer offer.

 

 

 

Financial Accountability:

  • Partners with store and district teams to establish and oversee plans, budgets and variable costs for store; works with comparable sales to last year, budget to plan and future sales trends to maximize profitability
  • Accurate recording of sales figures
  • Ensures effective routines and processes are in place to minimize shrink

 

Qualifications

Job Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation: Salary Range is $71,335 - $80,252 

 

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of past retail experience, preferably in retail management or operations
  • Prior analyst/finance experience a plus
  • Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc) for a short distance
  • Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
