Job Description
As the Market Merchandiser, you will be the expert in the Korea market, driving profitable growth through strategic collaboration with the Area Team to execute a comprehensive commercial plan. This pivotal role involves optimizing allocation and replenishment strategies to maximize sales while effectively managing stock ownership in relation to sales and activation planning.
The Market Merchandiser reports to the Multichannel Merchandising Manager in Korea.
What you will do:
- Act on sales opportunities/threats for your market, communicate them to the Supply Chain Merchandiser and the Regional Concept Merchandiser and Area Teams .
- Visit stores/area teams to follow up on commercial actions.
- Liaise with merchandising team regarding intake, ranging and allocations.
- Work with the Visual Merchandising team to potentialize local activity.
- Supply your market organization with commercial focuses in order to set the right priorities.
- Guide Store / Area Team on commercial focuses.
- Provide the regional merchandise team with your market and customer knowledge regarding expectations and pricing.
- Develop and implement allocation strategies that ensure profitability and deliver an optimal stock composition for your market, while generating tailored store allocation plans for each season.
- Minimize the effect of reductions through sale and other activities.
- Attend trade meetings and present updates/actions to take.
- Maximize the selling potential in your market by securing the right space management in store according to the current stock situation and sales drivers.

What you need to succeed
- Previous experience working in a stock and inventory management, controlling, merchandising, buying, or planning role.
- Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to decide sales driving actions based on the results.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, provide feedback, and speak confidently in front of an audience.
- Excellent competitor and trend analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time when required.
- Intermediate to advance in Excel competency.
